![]() Pacific Storm Aliies game AI has the same poor skills and the game does not decrease build times but it just spawns entire fleets out of nowhere to throw at you. AI loses ships too fast and too easily and ot make the game remotely challenging it has to be able to produce quickly so you have something to fight against. Yeah the game build times are way too fast, but it has to make up for the poor AI battle skills. From first to last, they averaged about a year of build / trial time between being "Laid Down" and being "Commissioned". Um, actually no, they weren't (well, yes, they were, but not remotely to the extent the game portrays). That is one of the reasons we were able to supply not only our needs as a nation, but also most of the needs of all of the other allied nations as well. American Factories by the wars end were and had been for a few years, extremely efficient. Now, not everyone wants to play strictly historical, which is fine (and why I think there should be a value that triggers "anything goes" as stated above), but it would be nice to have the option to limit production of certain ShipClasses. Without a base battlecruiser hull, there shouldn't be anymore of the design produced, if playing historically. Lexington and Saratoga were built on battlecruiser hulls that were converted because of the Washington Naval Treaty. There should be a method of setting the limit on a shipclass to be open, but for past designs, the game could hew closer to reality.įor example, take the Lexington class carriers for the US. Specifically, I'd think there would two fields, a counter field, that would register the number of units of the ship class that had been produced (or were in production) and a max cap field that would set the limit. I'd like for a couple of fields to be added (likely to the ShipClass.csv file) that would serve (if enabled) to create an historically accurate limit on the number of ships of each class that could be produced. ![]() ![]() Well, I've got a bunch of suggestions, but I'll start with this one.
